Portable Appliance Testing

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is the testing and inspection of electrical equipment, IT equipment, handheld tools, extension leads and fixed appliances up to 400V.

PAT testing has to be carried out by competent persons so as to be able to identify any defects when testing any appliances. Duration of PAT tests are down to individual site requirements but usually fall annually.

We will

• Visually Inspect every appliance to ensure correct use and not damaged
• Carry out Tests on every appliance, including earth continuity and insulation resistance
• To supply a complete asset register to site with appliance details and labels for every tested item
